Summary

As the brand is growing, so is our team! Egglife Foods is looking for an Accounting Clerk to join the finance team, reporting to the Production Controller. The Accounting Clerk will perform the day-to-day payables and general accounting activities. As the Egglife business grows, accounts and activity can vary or change with the additions/changes to the customer and vendor base. The Accounting Clerk must maintain close working relationships with the CFO, finance team and cross-functional team members to assure accounting transactions are accurate and timely.

· An expert bookkeeper who is technology savvy, and has a comprehensive strong knowledge of accounting practices and procedures and GAAP accounting

· The ability to act responsibly and ethically when working with sensitive financial information, whether it’s information for the Company or for individuals

· Solid communication skills, with proficiency in speaking and writing

· The willingness and ability to comply with local, state, and federal financial regulations, as well as the regulations established by the Company itself

· A team-oriented individual with high integrity and the ability to build strong working relationships with vendors and across all internal departments

· Strong critical thinking & problem solver

Essential job functions

Working with guidance and support from the Production Controller and CFO you will:

· Manage and maintain chart of accounts

· Perform general accounting/bookkeeping activities including cash reconciliations

· Process invoices for payment

· Work with internal team members and vendors to research and resolve invoice discrepancies

· Review vendor invoices and other documents for accuracy, proper coding and approval, and process within financial systems

· Calculate, prepare, and post accruals and journal entries

· Work with others in and outside the department to ensure compliance to control processes

· Provide routine reporting including financial statements and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)

· Maintain supporting documentation for all transactions. Research and respond to inquiries

· Other accounting and control activities as assigned

· Provide occasional backup support to the Accounts Receivable Clerk

· Maintain courteousness and professionalism at all times when managing accounts

Qualifications

· High School diploma or equivalent required with some bookkeeping coursework. Associates degree in business or accounting preferred

· 3 years of prior job-related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Comfortable and able to succeed in a fast paced, sometimes ambiguous environment

· Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and able to multi-task

· Computer literate and extremely accurate. Prior experience with accounting systems, QuickBooks or Oracle preferred. QuickBooks Online Pro or Advanced Certification(s) preferred
